We recognise and value parents as ‘the first educators’ and encourage participation in the life of our school. In responding to this challenge, Our Lady Help of Christians strives to develop authentic partnerships with parents. Authentic partnership between our school, families and community helps to support the catholic faith formation, learning and care of all students in our school.
Family- school partnerships are collaborative relationships and activities that involve staff, parents and other family members of the students in our school. Effective partnerships are based on mutual trust and respect, and shared responsibility for the education of children at our school. Partnership does not mean that everyone will contribute equally to the relationship. Partnership is about the enrichment that is gained when people work together for a common purpose. A special partnership is developed when parents and teachers combine in the education of the child.

Parents at OLHC are invited to be a part of the Parent Forum who meet once a month to discuss and have a contribution to the educational direction of the school, organise fundraisers and network with each other and staff.
